Reflection on Collaboration Through Visual Journaling
Creating visual journals and collaborating with others significantly strengthened my collaborative skills by allowing me to engage in a process that was both personal and shared. Visual journaling invited me to express my ideas creatively while also giving me a way to communicate visually with peers. Sharing pages, exchanging feedback, and discussing our artistic choices helped me become more open to different perspectives and more comfortable giving and receiving constructive input. Working alongside others pushed me to articulate my thoughts more clearly, listen more intentionally, and approach group work with greater empathy and flexibility. As we explored ideas together—sometimes blending styles, sometimes responding to each other’s work—I learned how collaboration can deepen creativity rather than limit it. Overall, this experience showed me that creative processes thrive when they are shared, and it strengthened my confidence in working with others toward a collective artistic vision.
